Meet Nick Dennis
Digital Operations Manager

Hi, I’m Nick and I’ve been the Digital Operations Manager for 2 years. I'm from Southwest Wales, an avid Scarlets and Wales Rugby fan. I’m also a keen traveler, and visited over 40 countries globally. I am proud to share what my team have achieved in the time I have been here!

Tell us more about you and what you are proud of

I joined Well Pharmacy 2 years ago as the Digital Operations Manager. I come from having 14 years’ experience as a Chief Operations Officer within the Insurance Industry and I can certainly say that Pharmacy is totally different, highly regulated but offers something different and that is why I wanted to get into the industry and join Well Pharmacy.

From the support we offer our patients through to what we do in Digital Pharmacy, in getting medication out on time and accurately, it is certainly something I am proud to share as we have improved in all areas of what we do. We have progressed really well and the highly trained team we have in the Pharmacy is fantastic!

Knowing that the team understand the impact they have every day with the patient care they provide really does make a difference to them.

Why is our Digital Pharmacy different?

Traditional pharmacies have a physical storefront where customers can walk in to collect their medication and receive services to support them with their health and wellbeing, while distance-selling pharmacies operate remotely without a physical storefront.

Distance selling pharmacies offer patients the convenience of receiving their medication by post. Patients can order their medication in a variety of ways, but with our service have the benefit of hassle free deliveries.

We also offer a range of both NHS and Private Services remotely, that might be by telephone or video call. Offering services such as the New Medicines Service, NHS Contraception Service, Weight Management and many others enables us to continually deliver for our patients.

The successes we have had in these areas have been great and are growing on a daily basis.

What is the patient experience that you & the team enable?

We care about the quality of the service that we offer and the quality of our interactions with them. This really shines through from the feedback we get from our patients.

The reviews the team receive are fantastic and it’s the entire reason why many of the team including myself are so proud of all the work that we are doing in Digital Pharmacy and will continue to do.

Meet Jordan
Digital Pharmacy Manager

Hi, I’m Jordan and I lead the operations in Digital Pharmacy.

I first joined Well back in 2019, originally in our Healthcare Service Centre based in Meir Park Stoke. Over the last 5 years I’ve gained valuable insights into the NHS and community Pharmacy and together with my experience in operations I’ve been fortunate to apply that into the Digital Pharmacy Operation to positively impact the team and our service for patients and customers.

What is the best part of your role?
It’s the challenges I face every day, no two days are the same and there is a lot of variety. As part of my role, I ensure that the Pharmacy runs smoothly day in and day out, which can be anything from supporting the team, making sure they are motivated through to making sure every customer & patient are happy with their experience. Each day is different and that’s what I love about the role!
How does your role make a difference?
Working in Digital Pharmacy drives me everyday to make a difference for our patients and customers. Our service is hassle free and offers a slightly different service to the traditional bricks and mortar Pharmacy. Therefore ensuring that our patients are receiving their medication as quickly and effectively as possible is a key priority of mine and where we as a team can really make a difference.
What has been the highlight of your career whilst in Digital?
It was winning the Well Pharmacy Rising Star award at the Well Awards in 2023. Receiving the recognition from my peers and also the business gave me a real sense of achievement and one that I am very proud of.
What piece of advice would you give someone looking to pursue a career like yours?
Don’t be afraid to explore new opportunities and always look to try new things that help grow your knowledge but also your career.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
I’m looking forward to the growth potential of Digital Pharmacy and the role that me and my team can play in making Digital successful and particularly the impact that it has on our patients and customers.
